PRIVATE EVENTS

The Culinary Studio at the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon is open for Private Events! All events include one hour of exclusive time in the Culinary Studio and are priced by the hour. All-day admission to the museum is included for event guests. A dedicated Museum Educator will be present to support the event in the Culinary Studio.

Pricing for Private Events: $500 / hour for up to 30 guests 

Please note:

• Museum policy requires at least one adult for every 5 children. If the children are under 5 years of age, we recommend one adult for every 2 to 3 children. 

• Two adults may come 20 minutes before the scheduled event time for food set up and personal decorations.  No additional food or cutlery is provided. No decorations may be attached to the equipment or walls. 

• The Children’s Museum staff cleans up everything except your group’s personal items (ie. food and decor).

• Events are subject to room and staff availability.

Event Program Add-on Options:

Two optional program add-ons are available: Bisqueware Painting and Culinary Classes. The cost for events with a program add-on is $800 per hour of instruction.

Bisqueware Painting

• Pricing includes bisqueware items for your guests. The event organizer will choose either a bisqueware plate or vase prior to the event.

• Glaze and painting materials are provided.

• Bisqueware is fired in our Clay Studio with an estimated 2 week turn around.

• Event organizer is responsible for pick-up of all bisqueware items.

Pricing for Bisqueware Painting: $800 / hour for up to 25 guests

Culinary Class

• Pricing includes one hour of instructor-led culinary programming. 

• The event organizer will choose from available recipe options prior to the event.

• All cooking equipment and materials are provided for up to 15 participants. 

• No additional food is included in the program.

• Museum Staff will clean equipment and food related to the program.

Pricing for Culinary Program: $800 / hour for up to 15 participants

Times

​

• Days and Times of availability are Tuesday through Friday (10:30-4 pm), Saturday (10:30 am to 1:00 pm) and Sunday (11:00 am-12:00 pm).

• All events are priced in 1-hour increments.

• Event inquiries must be submitted at least 14 days in advance.

• Events are subject to room and staff availability.

Payment

• 50% of the rental fee is required to reserve the date of your event once confirmed. 

• All fees are due 14 days before your event.

• Current Museum Members receive a 10% discount off the total amount.  Discount is taken at the time of balance payment.

Cancellation Policy

​

• Events canceled more than 30 days in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit minus a $25 processing fee.  

• Events canceled between 14 and 30 days forfeit the full booking deposit (50% of the rental fee). 

• Events canceled within 14 days of the scheduled event will have the full rental applied as a cancellation fee.

The Oregon Center for Creative Learning reserves the right to cancel an event with a 30-day notice if the scheduled event conflicts with a planned Center event.
